Top Ten Tuesday (16): Top Ten Books I've Read So Far in 2013

The topic this week is Top Ten Books I've Read So Far in 2013. Okay... confession. I'm not the fastest reader in the world, so I've only read 19 books this year thus far. Though I haven't read as many books as a lot of people out there, I have definitely enjoyed most of them immensely.

Here are ten of my favorites so far this year:

1. The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan

2. Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

3. The Madman's Daughter by Megan Shepherd

5. Midnight in Austenland by Shannon Hale

6. Epic Fail by Claire LaZebnik

7. Wings by Aprilynne Pike

8. Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kinney

9. Chasing the Dark by Sam Hepburn

10. Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare

What are you top ten favorite books you've read so far? Are you a slow reader like me or a warp speed reader? Let me know in the comments below!

  1. Epic Fail was a pretty cute book. I still need to read The Statistical Probability. I have it checked out from the library. I'd like to read The Madman's Daughter at some point, too. Great list!

  2. I'm definitely a warp speed reader - over 100 so far in 2013! I listen, as well as read, though, and I'm starting Mark of Athena on my commute this week. I can't wait!

    1. Lucky! I wish I could read faster. I have started trying to listen to audiobooks on my commute, too... but I have difficulty paying attention to the audio when not in the car, I've noticed. Hee hee. Oh my word, Mark of Athena is SO AMAZING! Gah! I need House of Hades right now!

  3. Midnight in Austenland sounds really cool :) I'd like to read the series at some point, I watched Lost in Austen last year and was looking for other Austen adaptations to get into!

    1. Oh my word, I LOVE Lost in Austen! That movie made me laugh so much! If you liked that movie, I think you'll love the Austenland series. Shannon Hale is so hilarious and all her books are amazing.

  4. If I had made a list, Scarlet would definitely be on it, as would Cinder, which I only read this year as well.
