To save a kingdom, Zara must choose between a prince who could be the answer and a rising rebellion that threatens to take control.

When Zara Dane is chosen to marry Prince Sebastian Hart, son of the man who ordered her father’s capture, Zara knows she must fight to save everything she loves from ruin.

Being betrothed to the prince means a life trapped behind the towering stone walls of the Camelot-forged realm. Under the watchful eye of the prince's first knight, Sir Devlan Capra, changing her future becomes difficult.

When an unlikely rebel reveals the truth about the deadly secrets that fuel King Hart’s twisted world, Zara’s path to rescue her father becomes clouded by deception. The Rebels clear her path by forcing Zara’s hand with an ultimatum: sway Prince Sebastian to join the Rebels, convincing him of his father’s evil nature, or they will take him out.

But Zara is uncertain about a future under the Rebels’ command and where the prince’s heart truly lies. She must decide who to trust, what to believe, and what she’s truly fighting for before the king destroys all of Karm, including her heart.

1. What was the inspiration for Fireblood?
Honestly, I was talking to my CP, Rachel Harris, one day through email, and she asked what was I planning on writing now. I had just finished Destiny's Fire for Nano, and had only a vague idea about a city with a castle and knights…and when she asked, it just hit me. I saw the first scene play out between Zara and Devlan in my head, and quickly wrote her back about a crazy idea for a future Camelot…Needless to say, Rachel must love me, because she just cheered me on, even when she should probably tell me to stop eating so much chocolate. And drinking too much coffee.

2. What three words best describe your main character?
Stubborn. Fierce. Believing.

3. If you could hang out with one of your characters, who would it be and why?
Great question! And one that I don’t think I can answer lol I really do love all my characters the same, only a tad more interesting is my newer characters… just because they are fresh, and I haven’t been editing their scenes to death.

4. What is one book you wish you had written?
Another great question. Interview with the Vampire by Anne Rice. Lestat will always be my first love.

5. Do you have any interesting writing quirks or rituals?
Just coffee. I always need at least three cups a day…and MUST have a cup near me while doing my afternoon writing.

6. Do you listen to music while you write? If so, do you have a playlist to share with us?
I actually don’t. I find that when I do, my scenes take on the “feel” of whatever I’m listening to, and I don’t like to have outside influence. I get my jam on in the car on my way to and from work.

7. Are you a write-by-the-seat-of-your-pants author or an outliner?
Definitely a write-by-the-seat-of-my-pants author. I love that!

8. What do you find to be the hardest/easiest part of writing a novel?
Hardest part: Research
Easiest part: Love scenes.

9. If you could only eat one food/dish for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Cheeseburgers.

10. What is your favorite and least favorite word ever?
Ha! Someone is going to hurt me for saying this…hopefully she won’t see it. Glorious. For some reason, that word just irks me. And my favorite word is superfluous.
