Top Ten Tuesday (4): Characters I Would Crush On If I Were Also a Fictional Character

The topic this week is Top Ten Characters I Would Crush On If I Were Also a Fictional Character. Super long title, but so exciting! I have a serious problem, folks. I have a tendency to fall in love with book boys. I'm serious. I may need to seek professional help for this. Just kidding! Well, not entirely kidding, but still. Ahem.

So! Here are, in no particular order, the book boys I would be destined to fall for if I were a fictional character as well:

1. Zachary Moore from the Shade trilogy by Jeri Smith-Ready: There is absolutely no way I could NOT love this boy. He's sweet, tall, gorgeous, smart, funny and has a most delicious accent (he's Scottish, guys!!!!). He's pretty much the perfect example of my type of guy. Oh swoon... AND I get to read about him again during the Shade Series Read Along! Yum!

2. Cricket Bell from Lola and the Boy Next Door by Stephanie Perkins: Here's another tall, smart, nice guy. I really do have a specific type... hmm. Cricket is such a great guy! There's no way I would ever be able to resist this boy next door.

3. Jem Carstairs from the Infernal Devices series by Cassandra Clare: I'm a sucker for musicians. If they're nice on top of that, whoa nelly! Jem is such a gentleman. I'm so scared to see what happens to him in Clockwork Princess. Yikes!

4. Percy Jackson from Percy Jackson and the Olympians/Heroes of Olympus series by Rick Riordan: Another tall, dark and hilarious boy! Percy definitely knows how to be an amazing boyfriend, too. He's got some serious fighting skills, but he also knows how to make tough situations light. I love this boy!

5. Peeta Mellark from the Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins: The world they live in sucks and there is absolutely NO WAY I would ever want to live in it... but if I did, I'd be totally in love with the boy with the bread. This guy is so sweet and loyal and funny, there's not a chance on earth I'd escape his charms.

6. Etienne St. Clair from Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins: Oh St. Clair... this boy is so freaking charming! Everybody loves him and I definitely would too, no doubt about it. Besides, Paris is a perfect setting to fall in love... and especially with a guy like Etienne!

7. Henry Tilney from Northanger Abbey by Jane Austen: Mr. Tilney is so funny and sweet! He's not against reading novels and loves to playfully tease and laugh. Oh man, if I ever met him, I'd be a goner. Le swoon.

8. Sam Roth from the Wolves of Mercy Falls series by Maggie Stiefvater: He's my broken boy that I wouldn't be able to resist. He is such a nice guy. He's passionate and thoughtful and sweet. Plus, he has those gorgeous golden eyes and amazing musical skills. I simply love this boy to bits and pieces, you guys.

9. Edmund "Eddie" Grey from Midnight in Austenland by Shannon Hale: I absolutely, 100% believe that I would never be able to resist this guy. He's all decked out in Austen gear, is super tall, British and has a fantastic sense of humor. Sure, it's his job to be charming and woo the ladies, but still... I fell for him instantly when I read the book and I wouldn't stand a chance against him if I were in the story too. Swoon again, guys.

10. Bran from Son of the Shadows by Juliet Marillier: Here's another broken boy that I wouldn't be able to resist if my life depended on it. Oh man, you guys. He's tough, but he has that soft middle that I wouldn't be able to resist. Rawr.

Oh my word, that was difficult!!! I kept being all, "But what about ___?!" and "OH! I should add ___ too!" and "I can't leave ___ out!" Gah! I would have had a ridiculously long list if I gave in, so I just stuck with these 10.

Any fictional characters you wouldn't be able to resist falling in love with if you were fictional too?

    My Top Ten
    Kay @ It's a Book Life

    1. Right?! I could have easily picked 20... or more. That ecard is definitely me, too. Oh my word, it's a problem. :D

Thanks for the compliment, follow and visit!

  6. I really don't understand this whole "if I were fictional too" concept. It's already happened to me. x) You had two people from my list, Peeta and Percy Jackson- have you read Matched? Ky is my #2, LOVE HIM. Oh lord.

    1. Peet and Percy!! Two extremely amazing guys!!! I really like Ky, too! Like I said, it was tough narrowing it down to just TEN guys, but it had to be done. :P

  7. Soren Skaarsgard from the Seeds Trilogy by K. Mackenzie (and I just can't BELIEVE that she had her female lead fall for the OTHER guy!). And Liam from the Darkest Minds trilogy by someone whose name I forgot. Not to mention Aragorn from Lord of the Rings by J.R.R. Tolkien, particularly as played by Viggo Mortenson in the movies. Yeah, it sucks being "in love" with fictional characters, but at least a quick internet search proves I'm not alone by a LONG shot. ;-)

    1. You are most definitely not alone!! Book boyfriends are amazing. :)
