I'm going to make this short and sweet since I have the most miserable cold right now. Ugh. This week's topic is Top Ten Best Sequels Ever. It was a little difficult for me to pick the BEST EVER, but these are certainly amazing sequels. I've decided to omit every Harry Potter and Chronicles of Narnia book after the first one, simply because I can't pick a favorite. But still, they're amazing.
So without further ado, here are ten fantastic sequels:

2. Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
3. Shift by Jeri Smith-Ready
4. The Son of Neptune by Rick Riordan
5. Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini Taylor

7. Sapphique by Catherine Fisher
8. Inkspell by Cornelia Funke
9. Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
10. Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

Unfortunately I haven't gotten around to reading most of these. For the Heroes of Olympus series, I wanted to wait until all of the books are out to start it because I loved the Percy Jackson series, but I got to read those back to back and that is how I find I enjoy reading a series the best. I do agree on Catching Fire!
ReplyDeleteI tend to do that, too... waiting until the last book comes out to read the previous ones. Sometimes, it's just easier that way, isn't it? I read Percy Jackson back to back, too. It's awesome that way!
DeleteGood list, I love Linger and The Son of Neptune as well two of my favorite books especially Linger.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, I completely agree! :)
DeleteI loved Days of Blood and Starlight and Clockwork Prince. These are my favorite ones. I would recommend Shadow of Night (All Souls Trilogy, #2), I'm currently reading it, and it's an amazing read!
ReplyDeleteI haven't even read the first book in the All Souls Trilogy... it's just so huge, I'm kind of intimidated! lol
DeleteOh my gosh, Days of Blood and Starlight was phenomenal! I really love the character Ziri. He's just epic!
ReplyDeleteAnd Scarlet was amazing. I actually liked Cinder better than Scarlet, but that's probably because I ship Kai x Cinder more than Wolf x Scarlet :P
Ziri! Oh my goodness, I love Ziri! He's one of my absolute favorites in that book. I can't even wait to see what happens in the next book!
DeleteI like your sequels. Most of these I have' t read yet and I would love to! I am so beyond in my reading lol. My favourite sequel is probably Lord of the Rings.
ReplyDeleteThe Lord of the Rings is one of the best ever! Oh my word! I'm so much in love with it... always have been.
DeleteThe sequels are sweet.. I find it fascinating how one can continue a story on.. ;)
ReplyDeleteRight? I love it to bits. People are so talented.
DeleteDays of Blood and Starlight was so good! I can't wait for the third one!
ReplyDeleteI know, right?! Oh my gosh! It was like a total roller coaster ride!
