I'm really excited to be taking part in the Top 10 of 2013: A week of looking back... and looking forward! This year, the Top 10 is hosted by Rachel from Fiktshun, Jaime from Two Chicks on Books, and Mindy from Magical Urban Fantasy Reads. All week, we'll be celebrating the awesomeness of reading with a different topic each day. If you'd like to join in or learn more, click on the banner above! It has been one... interesting year. I have read some pretty awesome books this year, though! I've broadened my horizons, dipped my toe into new-to-me genres, read heaps of fun picture books, met and surpassed my reading goal... it's been amazing! So, without further ado, here are ten of my favorite reads this year (in no particular order):

The Program by Suzanne Young
Scarlet by Marissa Meyer

Midnight in Austenland by Shannon Hale

Pawn by Aimee Carter

The Mark of Athena by Rick Riordan

Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card

Being Jamie Baker and More Than Jamie Baker by Kelly Oram

The Madman's Daughter by Megan Shepherd

Goodbye Rebel Blue by Shelley Coriell

Oh my word, that was so hard to narrow down! I did cheat a little by adding two books in the same series, but I honestly couldn't avoid it without having to bump something else out. Like last year, I didn't include my rereads (The Scorpio Races, Inkheart, Inkspell, or Inkdeath). I did do better reviewing this year than I did last year, but I still didn't get them all done. Sorry! It's just been amazing being able to read these wonderful books this year. Here's to many more happy reading years!
