Descendants of the Amazons, the Scythians work alongside prominent governments but answer to no one. Warriors living on the fringe of civilization, they live by one credo: Strength through Equality. Power through Knowledge.

Nya Thalestris is the brightest Scythian of her generation. Strong, capable, ruthless, she is sure to earn a spot in the Trials, a time-honored mating ritual responsible for the evolution of her species.

Abducted by their sworn enemy, the Drahzda, Nya is forever altered and spirals out of control. The Society sends in Jax Nickius. Infamous psychologist and one of the most brutal warriors of their kind, he discovers triggers planted in Nya’s mind. As Nya solidifies her spot in the Trials, Jax develops a plan to help—while pursuing her as a mate. But, Nya’s attraction to Jax is at war with her instinct to never let anyone get too close.

During the Trials, Nya’s repressed memories surface, revealing a new enemy—one from inside the consulate walls—and a traitorous alliance on the horizon that could irrevocably change the course of history.

Since before the Bronze Age, the Society has managed to safeguard humanity from itself … until now.

Tens List: Ten Dream Vacation Spots
by Elizabeth Isaacs

10. Bora Bora - It’s gorgeous, isn’t it? Bora Bora’s tropical climate and crystal clear waters have been on my bucket list for a while now.

9. New Zealand - Because what bookworm hasn’t dreamed of going on vacay and staying in a hobbit house? I’ve always wanted to go there for a month or two and just write.

8. Europe - I might be cheating here, but there are too many places in Europe I’d love to see, and so I’m including them all in one big post. čśŐ

7. Fiji - They say Fiji has some of the best snorkeling sites in the world, and I’d also love to visit Wakaya Island’s white beaches and pristine blue waters.

6. The Mediterranean - I’ve become fascinated with the Greek Isles since writing about Luka and Tor in the Scythian Trials.

5. South Africa - As a musician, Africa has always fascinated me as it is the birthplace of many facets of music and instruments. I’d love to go and experience the culture of both the urban areas as well as the more tribal parts of the west coast.

4. Svalbard - I’ve been researching for the second book in the series, The Scythian Legacy and I came across a most fascinating island. Svalbard is a veritable feast of writing fodder as it has ghost towns, a NASA satellite station and is one of the best places to see the Northern Lights. Too, there are glacier ice caves to explore. What more could a person want?

3. Australia - I’ve always wanted to stand on the Sydney Opera House stage and belt out one note. I might have to break in the place before the crack of dawn to do it, but it’s on my bucket list.

2. Tahiti - This one has been on my list for a while too. I’ve always wanted to stay in one of these bungalows. It would be so peaceful to just sit and look out over the water and think.

1. Scotland - The place that inspired Jamie. Lawd have mercy. I think every Outlander fan has the same dream to go to Scotland and see all the sights portrayed in the series. The Scottish tourism department should thank Diana Gabaldon, lol.
